This is a role that will play a significant part in the School of Economics in enhancing our international reputation for research scholarship of the highest quality. The role-holder will focus particularly on the development of the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP), which is a significant Centre within the School. For further details, GEP’s web site is here: http://www.gep.org.uk/

This position will be attractive to senior researchers with an established academic reputation in any area of international economics, this being one of the School’s particular research strengths.

The GEP Director will provide the intellectual, strategic and operational leadership to develop the GEP Research Centre’s national and internationally standing in its field of research. You will develop working relationships with academic collaborators and with colleagues within the policy-making community.

The role-holder will also continue to develop the recently established branches of the GEP Research Centre at the University of Nottingham’s campuses in Malaysia and China.
